My efforts on Bishwa Ijtema (or Bishsho Istema), an annual Tabligi Jamaat Islamic movement congregation held at Tongi, Bangladesh by the river Turag. It is the 3rd largest Muslim congregation in the world after the Arbaeen gathering in Kerbala, Iraq and Hajj. It is one of the largest peaceful gatherings in the world. The Ijtema is a prayer meeting spread over three days, during which attending devotees perform daily prayers while listening to scholars reciting and explaining verses from the Quran. It culminates in the Akheri Munajat, or the Final Prayer, in which millions of devotees raise their hands in front of Allah (God) and pray for world peace.

About author:

My journey to the world of photography began long ago. For years I've been traveling widely, trying to cover the culture as well as the colourful life of people. After graduating in Computer Science, I became a part of Telecommunication Sector. While living in Kabul, Afghanistan since May, 2009 I discovered my passion newly.

I strongly believe that there are no rules when it comes to photography.
I always try to make my work simple and as photography is the outcome of inside thought of a photographer, I try to click the shutter to catch frame of remembrance of little things, long after we have forgotten everything.
